Driven by countless engineering hours spent studying the balancing of various capacitor banks, Capacitool was launched a few years ago with a bold yet highly focused objective:
“To create an inclusive tool that enables the balancing of any capacitor bank in a simple, standard way—serving both design and development engineering and operations and maintenance engineering—while delivering a solution with minimal capacitance deviation and the lowest possible levels of unbalance.”
In line with this objective, the pursuit of speed, performance, robustness, and algorithmic reliability has always been a priority. Other key premises considered during the tool's development included usability, visualization, and interoperability.
The choice of platform and features was driven by the inherent coexistence and correlation with spreadsheets in managing capacitor bank data, as well as the volume of information users need to handle and interact with when using the tool.
